This page explains how Seed Video researches, writes, and maintains its content. We publish it because the topic we cover — AI video models, and Seedance in particular — is full of recycled claims, unverified numbers, and marketing copy presented as fact. We want readers to know exactly how we try to do better.
Sourcing
We rank sources in this order: (1) official model pages, developer documentation, pricing pages, and terms of service from the vendor; (2) official announcements and statements from the vendor or its cloud platforms; (3) reporting from established news organisations; (4) provider blogs and reseller documentation; (5) everything else. When tiers disagree, the higher tier wins and the disagreement is noted in the article. Social-media posts and anonymous forum claims are not used as the sole basis for any factual statement.
Accuracy protocol
Every specification (duration, resolution, frame rate, reference limits, audio support), every price, every date, and every availability claim that appears on this site is recorded in an internal fact register with the URL it came from and the date we retrieved it. Writers may not introduce a figure that is not in the register. If a fact cannot be verified, the article says so and describes the uncertainty rather than filling the gap with a guess. We do not describe hands-on testing we did not do.
Update cadence
Each article carries a “Last updated” date. Pages that contain pricing or model tables are reviewed whenever a provider publishes a change we become aware of, and in any case on a rolling monthly schedule. When a new Seedance version is released, the homepage model table and the relevant hub pages are updated within 24 hours, and a dedicated guide follows. Older articles are revised rather than left to go stale; if an article is no longer useful, it is redirected to the page that replaces it.
Corrections
Send corrections to [email protected] with the page URL. Material corrections (a wrong number, a wrong date, a misattributed claim) are fixed and noted on the page; the “Last updated” date changes. Cosmetic fixes are made without a note. We aim to respond within five business days.
AI assistance
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting, structuring, and checking articles, and to build the generated graphics on this site. Every article is reviewed by the editorial team against the fact register before publication. AI assistance does not change our rules: no unverified numbers, no invented testing, no copied text from other publications. We consider the reader’s right to accurate information more important than speed.
Originality and copyright
All article text on this site is written by us. We do not copy paragraphs from sources; we cite them. We do not publish screenshots of third-party interfaces or reproduce vendor logos. Featured images and diagrams are generated by our own tooling.
Advertising disclosure and independence
Seed Video is funded by display advertising, including Google AdSense. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid reviews, or affiliate commissions, and we have no commercial relationship with ByteDance or any model provider we cover. Advertising is served by third parties and has no bearing on editorial decisions. Our rankings and comparisons are not influenced by which vendors advertise with those networks.
Scope and naming
We use product names such as “Seedance 2.0” and “Seedance 2.5” in titles and tables to identify specific versions. This is descriptive use only. Seed Video is an independent publication and is not an official source for any product; see our disclaimer and about page.
