Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This privacy policy explains what information Seed Video (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit seed-video.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and honest. If anything is unclear, email [email protected].

Who we are

Seed Video is an independent online publication about AI video models. We are the data controller for the limited personal data described here. We are not affiliated with ByteDance or any AI model provider.

What we collect

We do not require an account, and we do not have comment forms or contact forms. The data that may be processed when you use the site is:

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider and our content delivery network (Cloudflare) automatically record your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of each request. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and capacity planning, and are retained for a limited period.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. This site uses cookies. Some are strictly necessary (for example, security cookies set by Cloudflare). Others are set by advertising partners, described below.
  • Email. If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to deal with it.
  • Tool inputs. Our prompt generator and cost calculator run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to our servers.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Seed Video displays advertising, including advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info. Google’s own policy is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where required by law (including in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent before advertising cookies are set, using a consent management platform that meets Google’s requirements.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting or cookie-based analytics to understand which pages are read. If we add an analytics tool that sets cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website. We process advertising cookies on the basis of your consent where consent is required, and otherwise on the basis of legitimate interest in funding the site. We process your email on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
